Is Online Personal Training Worth It?

Yes: online personal training is worth it if you want a plan made for you and someone to check your progress every week, for about £18 a week instead of £40 to £60 for one gym session.

And if it is not right for you, the 14-day money-back guarantee means you lose nothing by trying.

It is worth it if…

  • You start strong, then stop

The weekly check-in is built for this. Someone notices, and your plan changes before you give up.

  • You don’t know what to do

Every exercise, set and rep is written for you, with simple instructions.

  • You are short on time

Workouts of 30 to 40 minutes, at home or in the gym, planned around your week.

  • Diets have not worked for you

A nutrition plan built on food you like, so you can keep eating that way.

It is not right for you if…

We would rather tell you now. Online coaching is not the best fit if:

  • You want someone beside you for every single rep
  • You need medical supervision to exercise, for example after surgery or for a heart condition
  • You will not send a check-in each week, because the check-in is where the coaching happens

If none of those is you, online personal training is one of the best-value ways to get fit, lose weight and get strong.

The maths

One session with a personal trainer in a UK gym costs about £40 to £60. Our Coached plan costs £79 a month, about £18 a week, and your first month is £39.

For that you get a training plan, a nutrition plan, a check-in every week and messages with your coach any time. If you would rather pay once, the 12-Week Kickstart is £199 for 12 weeks.

How to get the most from it

  1. 1Day 1

    Be honest in your answers

Your plan is only as good as what you tell us. Include the takeaways and the injuries.

  2. 2Every week

    Check in every week

Even a bad week. That is when your coach can help the most.

  3. 3Any time

    Ask questions

Not sure about an exercise or a meal? Message your coach. That is what it is for.

  4. 43 months

    Give it 12 weeks

Long enough to build habits that stick and see your progress week by week.

Questions people ask

Does online personal training really work?

It works when you follow a plan made for you and someone checks your progress. That is why every coached plan includes a weekly check-in and messages with your coach.

What if I don’t like it?

Email us within 14 days of your first payment and we refund it in full. After that, you can cancel any time. There is no contract.

How long until I see results?

Plan for at least 12 weeks. That is enough time to build habits that stick. Your check-ins show your progress week by week, so you always know where you stand.

Is online personal training worth it for beginners?

Yes. It suits beginners well, because every exercise is written and explained for you, and you can ask your coach anything.

Is it worth it compared with a free app?

An app is free or cheap, but nobody checks in. If you have started and stopped before, the check-in is what you are paying for. Plan only (£29 a month) is the middle ground.
