Getting started
Does online personal training work?
Yes, when you follow a plan made for you and someone checks your progress. That is why our coached plans include a weekly check-in and messages with your coach.
Who is it for?
Everyday people who want to lose weight, get fit and feel strong: busy people, beginners and anyone starting again. Men and women, at home or in the gym.
I am a complete beginner. Is that OK?
Yes. Your plan starts where you are today, and every exercise comes with clear, simple instructions.
Do I need a gym?
No. We can plan home workouts with no equipment, gym workouts, or both.
How soon do I get my plan?
Within 48 hours of finishing your sign-up form.
What do you need to know about me?
Your goal, your week, where you train, the food you like and dislike, and any injuries or health conditions. It takes a few minutes.
Prices and payment
How much does it cost?
Coached is £79 a month and your first month is £39. The 12-Week Kickstart is £199 once. Plan only is £29 a month.
How much does an online personal trainer cost compared with a gym trainer?
One session with a personal trainer in a UK gym costs about £40 to £60. A full month of our Coached plan costs £79.
Is there a contract or joining fee?
No. No contract and no joining fee. Monthly plans run until you cancel.
How do I pay?
By card, through Stripe, a secure payment company. We never see your full card number.
Can I change plans later?
Yes. Email us or tell your coach, and we move you to the new plan from your next payment.
Your coach and check-ins
Who will be my coach?
Bez (Behzad Hosseini), our head coach: a Level 3 personal trainer with a Level 4 qualification in nutrition.
How do I talk to my coach?
By message, on your phone. You get the details when you join.
What is a weekly check-in?
A short update you send once a week: your weight, the workouts you did, your steps and how the week felt. Your coach replies with feedback and changes your plan.
What if I miss a check-in?
Send it when you can. A late check-in from a bad week is better than none.
Can my coach check my form?
Yes. Film a short video of the exercise and send it. You get clear tips on what to change.
Training
How long are the workouts?
Most workouts take 30 to 40 minutes, including a warm-up.
How many days a week will I train?
Usually two to four, on the days that suit you, plus daily walking.
I have an injury. Can I still train?
Usually, yes. Tell us about it when you join and your plan works around it. If it hurts now, see your GP or a physiotherapist first.
What equipment do I need?
None to start. If equipment would help later, your coach will tell you what is worth buying.
Food and nutrition
Do I have to go on a diet?
No. Your nutrition plan is built on the food you already eat. Nothing is banned.
Do I have to count calories?
No. Counting works for some people. Portions or a simple plate guide work too. Your coach picks the way that suits you.
Can I get a vegetarian, vegan or halal plan?
Yes. Your plan is built on the food you eat.
Can I still drink alcohol and eat out?
Yes. Your plan includes meals out and drinks, so you can enjoy them without undoing your week.
Cancelling and refunds
How do I cancel?
Email hello@onlinepersonaltrainer.uk before your next payment date. We stop your plan and you are not charged again.
How does the money-back guarantee work?
If you are not happy, email us within 14 days of your first payment and we refund it in full. No forms, no arguments.
Can I get a refund on the 12-Week Kickstart?
Yes, in full, if you ask within 14 days of paying. After that, it runs for the full 12 weeks.
Health and safety
I have a health condition. Can I join?
Speak to your GP before you start if you have a medical condition, take medication or have been told to be careful with exercise. Then tell us about it when you join.
Can I train if I am pregnant?
Speak to your GP or midwife first and tell us when you join. Our plans are not a replacement for specialist pregnancy care.
Is there an age limit?
You need to be 18 or over to join. There is no upper age limit.
Is this medical advice?
No. Our coaching is fitness and nutrition guidance for healthy adults, not medical advice. Read our health disclaimer for more.
